Baier: Hillary Clinton 'Really Hasn't Piped Up at All' on Recent Major Events

January 19, 2015

Is Hillary Clinton in hiding?

Clinton's camp continues to worry about Jeb Bush. Reports are surfacing that many of Clinton's closest advisers and friends are concerned over the almost certain 2016 candidate keeping quiet, while her Republican rival eats up headlines.

The silence is stunning.

"I think that it is interesting to watch how low she's laying because, you know, for the Charlie Hebdo attack, for a lot of things, she hasn't piped up at all," Bret Baier said.

Meanwhile, Jeb Bush's aggressiveness appears to be working. The former Florida governor has jumped in, and his early indication that he will run has forced his competitors on both sides of the aisle to adjust their strategies.

Mark Halperin, reporting on CBS's Face the Nation Sunday, said, "I've been talking to people who are Clinton insiders, longtime supporters, they are worried about Jeb Bush, worried about her laying low while Jeb Bush is out being aggressive, and worried if she stays without a message, you can say today what Jeb Bush is going to run on and what states he could win that Barack Obama won last time."

Without a story to run on, Clinton advisers are worried that she candidate will not have a compelling message.
