The flailing campaign of Texas gubernatorial candidate Wendy Davis (D) bottomed out last week with her release of an ad targeting Republican Greg Abbott's disability and calling him a hypocrite for not helping other victims.
No one on a panel of Up With Steve Kornacki was interested in defending it. Democratic strategist Donna Brazile said on This Week she would never have run it, and Huffington Post reporter Howard Fineman stated likewise on The Cycle. MSNBC's Chris Hayes and Mika Brzezinski both said it made them cringe, and Bloomberg's Jon Heilemann said Democrats in Texas were "appalled" by the commercial. Pundits across the networks agreed it was desperate and in poor taste.
There are reports that even South Park resident Eric Cartman dislikes Davis.
