James Carville is sick of the media holding the Clintons to a different standard than everyone else.
Carville was visibly irritated when he joined MSNBC’s Andrea Mitchell to discuss what advice he would offer Hillary Clinton to overcome her most recent scandal.
Carville used the full eight minutes of the segment to offer typical Democrat excuses to condone Clinton’s activities.
As with every Democratic talking point on this issue, the first line of attack was to clarify that Clinton did not break the law, therefore, there is no problem.
"It was not illegal, just so you know," Carville said.
Step two for the Carville defense was to blame the messenger. Talking a play typically employed by his counterparts in the GOP, Carville blasted the New York Times.
"The Times took right-wing talking points," Carville said.
When Mitchell pushed back on some of his statements, Carville immediately got snippy and raced through the rest of his excuses.
"I've lived through this," Carville said. "What happened to Foulgate? What happened to Travelgate? What happened to Pardongate? What happened to Benghazi?"
"You can go find a Democrat that says anything. My point is, this was legal in accordance with regulations. Colin Powell and Jeb Bush did the same thing. So I just don't see the deal here."
