New American Crossroads Ad Compares Clinton and Nixon

April 14, 2016

In a blast from the past, American Crossroads has released a new ad highlighting the comparisons made between Hillary Clinton and former President Richard Nixon, who was forced to resign in the wake of a scandal.

Throughout the ad, quotes from Nixon, and then from scandal-plagued Clinton are played highlighting similarities.

"What I have stated from the beginning to be the truth, has been the truth," Nixon said.

"I want people to understand what the truth is," Clinton said.

"I am confident the American people will come to realize I have not violated the trusts," Nixon said.

"I am confident, by the end of this campaign, people will know they can trust me," Clinton said.

So far, most people, including many Democrats do not trust Clinton.

"The entire story is there," Nixon said.

"I turned over everything I was obligated to turn over," Clintons said.

"I want the facts out," Nixon said.

"I want those emails out," Clinton said.

"I'm sorry. I just hope I haven't let you down," Nixon said.

"I'm sorry about that. I take responsibility," Clinton said.

Flashing across the screen are quotes and article titles showing that even without the deja vu of Clinton and Nixon speaking, there are several comparisons of Clinton and Nixon.
