The feminist leader Gloria Steinem discussed Sen. Elizabeth Warren (D., Mass.) being gaveled down under Senate Rule 19 with TMZ at the Los Angeles International Airport.
"What do you make of all this situation with the Coretta Scott King letter and Elizabeth Warren?" Steinem was asked.
"You know we did a big protest about it last night. And people have read the Coretta Scott King letter all over the web and many people, the senators, the Democratic senators also objected, I've just been watching," Steinem responded.
After arguing that Majority Leader Mitch McConnell (R., Ky.) was treating his colleague from Massachusetts unfairly, the feminist organizer told TMZ what she would say to McConnell if given the chance.
"I would say, your days are numbered."
Steinem then went on to speculate that McConnell had allowed other senators to read the Coretta Scott King letter because, "McConnell realized he had failed, if you see what I mean. And he changed his mind and let it through."
