Happy Valentine's Day!

Twenty twenty-two was a bad year for the American economy and international relations, but it was a great year for love. Former president Donald Trump and his wife Melania continued to enjoy one of the happiest marriages in the history of our great country, and comedy legend Dane Cook finally proposed to his much, much younger girlfriend. (She said yes!)

The most profound form of love known to science—the love professional journalists profess to each other on social media in a futile effort to conceal their unfathomable self-loathing—grew even stronger as the mainstream media struggled to find a purpose in the second year of a Democratic president they have no interest in holding accountable.

We compiled some of the most poignant examples of journalists expressing love for their fellow journalists in 2022. May you, dear reader, be so lucky as to find someone who loves you the way these journalists purport to love each other, and may you in turn love them the way Jeffrey Toobin loves himself.
