FLASHBACK: Don Lemon's Disaster Morning Show Was First Billed as 'Group of Friends'

CNN anchor has screamed at frenemy cohosts, received 'formal training' over sexist remarks

When CNN launched its morning show featuring anchors Don Lemon, Poppy Harlow, and Kaitlan Collins, the network billed the trio as a "group of friends."

"I knew he was a real friend when you flew to Slovenia for our wedding," Harlow tells Lemon in one commercial aired in November.

In the months since, on-air dust-ups between Lemon and his cohosts have all but derailed the network's flagship morning show. After Lemon last week told his female colleagues that "a woman is considered to be in her prime in her 20s and 30s and maybe 40s," CNN yanked the anchor from the air to receive "formal training."

In recent weeks, Lemon has criticized Collins's interview skills, feuded with his co-anchors about differences in pay between men's and women's sports teams, and "screamed" at Collins for allegedly interrupting him during a broadcast, the New York Post reported.
