Jean-Pierre isn't the first Democrat to insist Biden is full of vigor. Sen. Chris Coons (D., Del.), who serves as the co-chair of Biden’s reelection campaign, in April claimed that he, not Biden, was usually the one struggling to remember facts. Coons called Biden "fit, capable, and ready to serve another term." That same day, Homeland Security secretary Alejandro Mayorkas appeared on NBC to declare, unconvincingly, that Biden is "incredibly sharp" and "incredibly probing."
