"It’s truly disturbing that Members of Congress rushed to blame Israel for the hospital tragedy in Gaza," Fetterman said on X Wednesday.

Who would take the word of a group that just massacred innocent Israeli civilians over our key ally?

Hamas claimed the blast on Tuesday killed more than 500 people and was the result of an Israeli airstrike, but Israel presented evidence indicating the blast was caused by a misfired rocket from Gaza. President Joe Biden and U.S. intelligence both affirmed Israel's position, with the U.S. director of national intelligence informing Congress that "Israel was not responsible."

The call-out comes after Democratic representative Rashida Tlaib (Mich.) repeated Hamas's claim that Israel was behind the incident.
Rep. Ilhan Omar (D., Minn.) also repeated Hamas's accusation before walking back her comments after U.S. intelligence sided with Israel.
