A report from the New York Times shows that Hillary Clinton used her personal email address exclusively to conduct official business while she was Secretary of State. The news was so shocking that MSNBC’s Rachel Maddow reported the story as breaking news during her late evening show.
Clinton violated federal requirements of the Federal Records Act that she had to use a State Department email that was to be stored on secure federal servers.
Her aides also did not take any action to have her personal emails preserved on the federal servers. She never had a government in the four years that she was head of the State Department.
Maddow was so shocked by the report, she said that it will raise "real questions" of what was in the more than 55,000 pages of emails as well as what will be made public.
