Dem Rep Attempts to Park Car, Fails Miserably

Democrat Congresswoman Eleanor Norton Holmes (D.C.) found herself having car problems again.

Observers recorded Holmes’ failure to park a silver sedan in a wide-open parking space between House office buildings Longworth and Cannon.

The video showed Norton, with the assistance of one staffer, attempting to position her car forward into a reverse-only slanted parking spot, grazing a red vehicle next to her during the process. As she parked the car, the staffer had to walk around another car because of Norton’s parking job.

At the 40-second mark, a capitol police officer drove by, unaware of the parking violation.

The staffer also appears to make no attempt to notify the congresswoman of her pitiful parking.

The two began to walk away from the scene of the crime when suddenly Norton doubled back—not to leave a note or check the other car, but to retrieve something she left in the car.

One observer said, "If she parks like that, she should not be a member of Congress anymore."

Too bad Norton didn’t have a kill switch in her car to prevent her this tragedy.
