Trump Fish, a new Donald Trump-themed seafood restaurant, is now open for business in the heart of Kurdistan in northern Iraq.
The restaurant is located in the city of Duhok, about a 90-minute drive from Mosul where Iraqi security forces continue to fight Islamic State militants.
Trump's admiration for fast food is well known, especially for the McDonald's "Filet-O-Fish," but the food at Trump Fish has little resemblance to American cuisine.
Owner Nedyar Zawiti "admires" Trump but named the restaurant after the president-elect to attract business, the Washington Post reported Wednesday.
But he also said that he likes Trump's personality.
"I love his personality and his policy," Zawiti told Reuters. "His style is close to me. I like him as a person and a businessman." Zawiti added that he registered the restaurant name with Kurdish authorities.
Zawiti said that he appreciated Trump's promise to help support the Kurds. The president-elect told the New York Times in July that he is a "big fan" of the Kurds and noted the troubled relationship between some Kurdish groups and the Turkish government.
"I’m a fan of the Kurds, you understand."

"Well, it would be ideal if we could get them all together. And that would be a possibility. But I'm a big fan of the Kurdish forces. At the same time, I think we have a potentially–we could have a potentially very successful relationship with Turkey. And it would be really wonderful if we could put them somehow both together."
