Kim Kardashian West is the subject of a cover story alongside her daughter North in the new September issue of Interview magazine that declares her "America's New First Lady."
In a series of outfits and a hairdo all inspired by former First Lady Jackie Kennedy Onassis, Kardashian West posed with her daughter for a photo shoot and accompanying article penned by transgender rights activist Janet Mock. In the article's opening sentence, Mock writes of the reality television personality, "If anyone can be said to embody the American Dream, it's Kim Kardashian West."
The program that made her and her family famous, "Keeping Up With The Kardashians," is described as having evolved into a "rooted-in-real-life mirror to what the American family looks like today."
Kardashian West posted to her Facebook a sample of the photos and wrote that she would "treasure" the shoot forever.
She and her third husband, rapper Kanye West, also have a son, Saint. They have been married since 2014.
The article made no mention of First Lady Melania Trump.
