Fox News announced on Tuesday that Dr. Ezekiel Emanuel, an architect of the Affordable Care Act, has been hired as a contributor to Fox News Channel and Fox Business Network.
Emanuel, the brother of the Democratic mayor of Chicago, Rahm Emanuel, and Hollywood agent Arti Emanuel, currently serves as chair of the University of Pennsylvania's department of medical ethics and health care policy. He is also vice provost for global initiatives at the university, according to Politico.

Emanuel had served as a special adviser on health policy and helped create the Affordable Care Act during the Obama administration.
He is the second notable Democrat to join Fox News as a contributor this year, Politico noted. Last month, Fox announced that it hired former State Department spokesperson Marie Harf as a contributor.
