#ConfessYourUnpopularOpinion: I’m more of a U.S. women’s national soccer team fan than I am of the men’s team currently playing in this World Cup.
It helps that the women’s team actually competes for championships on the international stage. However, my fandom is rooted in their service as ambassadors for their team and their sport.
Since D.C. is as close to socialist as you can get in America, what with its plastic bag tax and wealth of postgrads, I'm going to need to bone up on my World Cup knowledge when I'm reaping $2 PBR and free JD shots during the games. I need to open my eyes to the world.
A good place as any to start to at is the World Cup's host country of Brazil. Let's being with Brazilian winger Neymar's boo, Gabriella Lenzi.
Gabriella was cheering on her man from up in the stands during Brazil's 3-1 opening win. You would think being the seventh-highest paid soccer player in the world, dude could hook his lady up with better seats.
That's probably because Neymar had his other boo in the house, Brazilian actress Bruna Marquezine, in the post-game locker room to replace his jersey.
That's okay; Gabriella has plenty of other things going for her.

I'll give soccer players one thing: they're not too shabby at being job creators, even if their ladies collect a paycheck just to frolic on YouTube.
Thankful I won't have to keep my eye on the wrong side of the Equator for too long. Gabriella doesn't mind making the trip up to the Land of the Free.
