#DiddyJetDance Grounded

What is Diddy selling here?
June 7, 2013

The man born Sean Combs built an empire out of shamelessness and dumbass luck. Not every struggling A&R has the fortune of poaching away the greatest rapper of all time to launch his own record label.

Diddy’s latest effort trying to make fetch happen is the puzzling #DiddyJetDance.

Nor is this the most embarrassing circumstance in which Puffy dances.

What does Diddy have to gain by inventing this jig? The mind is boggled.

The first red flag is the song he dances to. Problem’s "Like Whaaat" is by an artist not under Diddy's umbrella. Diddy, who was a product placement pioneer, has nothing to profit/promote from "Like Whaaat."

From claiming he single-handily invented the remix to kicking off the rapper-vanity-clothing-line scheme, Diddy has hoodwinked America into automatically accepting that every thing he does is cutting edge. I’ll give credit when credit is due, but Diddy dancing on a plane is not exactly the same as Prometheus gifting fire to man.

It was only three months ago when an airliner came under fire from the FAA for passengers flash-mobbing a Harlem Shake midflight.

Speaking of ...

Diddy may have brought the Harlem Shake into the 2000s. But the #DiddyJetDance feels like  a sketch from Chappelle Show circa 2003.
