What is going on with the Democratic Party these days? President Joe Biden has decided to keep running for reelection. Yet prominent Democrats keep pretending that he's still thinking it over. On Wednesday, former House speaker Nancy Pelosi weighed in during an interview on MSNBC.
"It's up to the president to decide if he is going to run," Pelosi said. "We're all encouraging him to make that decision because time is running short ... I want him to do whatever he decides to do, and that’s the way it is. Whatever he decides, we go with." [Fact check: Biden has decided.]
Pelosi, 84, was unwilling to clarify her remarks when approached by a reporter on Capitol Hill. The party matron eventually lost her temper and snapped at Rachel Scott, a black female correspondent for ABC News, who was just trying to get a semi-coherent answer from Pelosi about Biden's future as the Democratic nominee.
"I'm not going to be making any comments in the hallway about the fate of our nation," Pelosi whined. "Am I speaking English to you? I'm not going to be making any statements about any of that."
Pelosi's racially charged tirade has been described by some as "going full Karen," a derogatory nickname commonly associated with entitled white women who behave obnoxiously in public.
