Efforts by congressional Republicans to pass major tax reform legislation are about to get some extra support on the Internet.

The American Action Network (AAN), a center-right nonprofit advocacy group, announced Tuesday that it will spend $500,000 on digital ads advocating for tax reform to overhaul the country's tax code, the Hill reports.

The group is supportive of House Speaker Paul Ryan (R., Wis.), who has been one of the House of Representatives' biggest advocates for tax reform.

AAN has already launched a blitz of TV and radio ads, but these new digital ads will target 31 congressional districts where GOP lawmakers are likely to vulnerable in the 2018 midterm elections.

"With this latest effort, across 31 congressional districts, we're urging Americans to make their voices heard and urge their member of Congress to keep up the fight and make meaningful tax reform a reality," AAN Executive Director Corry Bliss said in a statement.

AAN has said that it plans to spend $5 million pushing for tax reform this month and will spend around $20 million by Thanksgiving.

Other groups, such as the Koch Brothers-backed Americans for Prosperity, have already been spending significant amounts of money on advertising for tax reform and committed to spending more on digital ads.
