Rep. Eric Cantor (R., Va.) said he believes both parties have an opportunity  to come together on immigration legislation that offers a path to citizenship for illegal immigrants who came to the United States as children, Thursday on FNC:

BILL HEMMER: So you think immigration reform is possible?

ERIC CANTOR: In some way I believe that we can work together and to do something on this matter. Now, there is the comprehensive approach, that folks trying to work on right now. That is a tall order, in anything that we do. We saw health care, middle east peace, comprehensive things are tough to come by.

BILL HEMMER: Indeed they are.

ERIC CANTOR: And so, but I will say we've got an opportunity I think to come together on one point, and that is the kids. If a kid was brought here by his parents or her parents unbeknownst to them and know no other place than home, than America as home, why wouldn't we want to give them a path to citizenship? I think we should.
