"The Five" co-host Dana Perino on Wednesday was not buying Kathy Griffin's apology for a photo of the comedian holding a bloody replica of President Donald Trump's head.
The show played Griffin's apology video before Perino called it fake.
"It's all contrived," Perino said.
"In the monologue, you showed the video behind the scenes where she's talking to the photographer, she's saying, 'Call your dad, tell him that we're not going to survive this,'" Perino said. "The whole thing is manufactured."
"Free speech does not mean that it's free of consequences, and she said, 'I'm going to stand by my art,'" Perino continued. "Well, she's not; she's a total wimp."
Perino again said that she believed Griffin's apology was fake and that the whole incident was intentionally fabricated by Griffin.
