Two secret service agents are under investigation for taking selfies with President Donald Trump's eight-year-old grandson, Donald III last weekend, according to a new report.
Mother Jones reported Thursday that agents who were assigned to watch over Donald III were driving Trump's grandson to New York City from Westchester County, where the Trump family has an estate.
During the ride into New York City, Donald III had fallen asleep. The young boy's Secret Service agents began to take selfies with Donald III, causing him to wake up.
Trump's grandson was "freaked out" and told his mother what happened when he got home. The issue was quickly taken up by top management at the Secret Service.
"The US Secret Service is aware of a matter involving two of our agents and one of our protects," a Secret Service spokesman said. "Our Office of Professional Responsibility will always thoroughly review a matter to determine the facts and to ensure proper, long-standing protocols and procedures are followed. The Secret Service would caution individuals to not jump to conclusions that may grossly mischaracterize the matter."
Donald III is one of Donald Trump Jr. and his wife Vanessa's five children.
