The Twitter account for fast-food chain McDonald's tweeted at President Donald Trump on Thursday morning and called him "disgusting," accusing him of having small hands.
The tweet, which said the company would "love" to have Barack Obama back as president, was then pinned, making it the first tweet that anyone who clicked on McDonald's account would see.
The message was up for 20 minutes before being deleted.
It was unclear at first whether the message was the result of an accidental tweet, a disgruntled employee, or perhaps a hacker.
McDonald's clarified about an hour later that its Twitter account was "compromised" and said the company is investigating a potential cyber breach.
Twitter notified us that our account was compromised. We deleted the tweet, secured our account and are now investigating this.
