Fantastic new episode of the Substandard podcast, in which JVL is wronger than usual (he both believes Die Hard is a Christmas movie (it isn't) and thinks that A Christmas Story is a bad Christmas movie; he's basically history's greatest monster) and Free Beacon director of food and beverage services Vic Matus is bluer than usual (seriously, it was gross). Check it out:

In this week's podcast I recommend Status Audio headphones as a fantastic Christmas gift. They're high quality headphones at a ridiculously reasonable price; think Beats or Bose but for half as much, maybe less. I've tried a variety of decent headphones over the years—I really loved my set of noise-isolating Ultimate Ear buds, for instance—but have run into all sorts of problems. For example, with the UE set, the cable broke. Twice. No such problem with Status Audio headphones, which come with replaceable, detachable, tangle-free cables that are usable in pretty much all 3.5mm jacks.
One note: the discount code I suggested you use on the podcast is out of date. However! You can get 25 percent off any set of cans by using the code CYBERMONDAY at checkout. It worked as of this morning; I have no idea how long the discount will remain in operation. I cannot recommend the HD One enough; at $33-plus-shipping, it's the steal of the season. I wear mine everywhere. Including on the podcast you're listening to right now (hopefully).
Anyway! Subscribe to the Substandard podcast and buy some Status Audio headphones to listen to it on. You won't be sorry! I mean, sorrier than you usually are. Let's be honest, if you're reading me and listening to my podcast, you're in pretty bad shape. Get help. Get treatment. There's always a meeting going on somewhere.
