There appears to be a breakdown in messaging discipline in the Hillary Clinton camp.
Less than an hour before Sunday night's CNN debate in Flint, Michigan, Clinton spokesman Brian Fallon disparaged Sen. Bernie Sanders' (I., Vt.) call for Michigan Gov. Rick Snyder to resign over the Flint water crisis. Before Sunday night, only Sanders had called for Snyder to step down.
"He, Bernie Sanders, wants the governor to step down, and Hillary Clinton says that's a significant difference. Your reaction?" host Wolf Blitzer asked.
"I think that, in a nutshell, shows the difference in their two approaches," Fallon said. "If the governor stepped down tomorrow, would that make a difference in the everyday lives of the people who are drinking contaminated water, who can't take showers, who can't brush their teeth?"
Fast-forward to the debate, where Clinton agreed with Sanders' opening statement calling on Snyder to resign.
"The governor should resign or be recalled, and we should support the efforts of citizens attempting to achieve that," she said.
First time Hillary has agreed Snyder should go, just an hour after Fallon was saying that wouldn't help.

.@Hillaryclinton just said MI Gov Snyder should resign. Bill Clinton often mocks @BernieSanders for demanding Snyder's resignation.
