Some prominent liberal billionaires who have spent years bankrolling Democratic congressional campaigns were dropped from Forbes’ list of the world’s 400 wealthiest individuals, the magazine noted.
The wealth threshold for the Forbes 400 increased 10 percent to $1.7 billion this year. That culled from list hedge fund manager Tom Steyer ($1.6 billion), venture capitalist Vinod Khosla ($1.69 billion), and Qualcomm founder Irwin Jacobs ($1.3 billion), all high-dollar Democratic donors.
All three remain firmly in the three-comma club.
Thirty-one individuals were dropped from the Forbes 400 this year.
