I know it's not terribly interesting given Trumpmania and Cecil the Lion and that sorority in Alabama where the girls had the temerity to be attractive on video, but Syria has devolved into a chaotic hellhole where "unthinkable atrocities" are taking place on a near-daily basis and hundreds of thousands of people have died.
Fortunately, the United Nations is escalating its response to the crisis.
The UN has progressed from "really worried" to "extremely concerned" to "horrified" over the last year and a half or so. Is this heightened rhetoric weakening the Assad regime?
Pretty bold decision by Assad regime to bomb Douma marketplace outside Damascus while @UNReliefChief is in the capital pushing peace. #Syria

Well, this only means that the United Nations needs to escalate its rhetoric even further! I look forward to future headlines on the Syrian conflict:
No word on when something that might actually stop the atrocities, such as munitions dropped on those committing them, will be deployed in lieu of the UN's harsh words.
