Daily Beast reporter Jackie Kucinich called poor swing state polling numbers for Hillary Clinton a "huge problem" Wednesday through their indication that Clinton struggles to make voters think she cares about them.
A Quinnipiac poll revealed Clinton was underwater in favorability in Iowa, Colorado, and Virginia, with a majority holding an unfavorable opinion of her each time. She also lost hypothetical match-ups to Republican candidates Marco Rubio, Jeb Bush, and Scott Walker in the three states, all of which President Obama carried in his 2008 and 2012 elections.
"When you drill down just a little bit in that poll, it's the trust issue again," Kucinich said on CNN's New Day. "'Does this candidate care about me and my issues?' With Hillary Clinton, in a lot of these states, they're saying no right now, and that's a huge problem for her campaign."
"Trust and leadership," host John King said. "The two issues where she's suffering right now."
