Rep. Paul Ryan (R., Wis.) is out with a new book and it will debut one spot ahead of Hillary Clinton's "Hard Choices" on the upcoming New York Times bestsellers list.
From Politico Pro:
The Wisconsin Republican’s newest book, "The Way Forward," will debut at No. 5 on the non-fiction hardcover bestsellers list, one spot ahead of Clinton’s "Hard Choices," according to an advance copy of the list provided to POLITICO.
Ryan is on a nationwide publicity tour for the book, which wraps up Friday night with a speech at the Reagan Library in Simi Valley, California.
Ryan’s publisher, Twelve—an imprint of Hachette—says Bookscan shows that he has sold 6,266 copies of the book. That number does not capture all sales, and the publisher says approximately "12,000 units were sold" last week. Sales were impacted by the spat between Amazon and Hachette — the book was not available for pre-order.
