Sebelius: Previously Uninsured Number Still Unknown

HHS Sec: 'I do not have data to give you right now'

HHS Secretary Kathleen Sebelius said on Thursday she still doesn’t know how many of the people who have signed up for coverage previously had insurance or lost their plans because of the health care law’s new requirements.

"I do not have data to give you right now in terms of who exactly was previously uninsured," she said in response to a question from Senator Orrin Hatch (R., Utah).

She said the agency is collecting that data from insurers and will share it at a future date.

According to a new USA Today poll, Americans continue to disapprove of Obamacare, now by 50%-37%.
