Speaker John Boehner (R., Ohio) argued President Obama's healthcare law and policies are the cause for "the income inequalities that we see today" during a Wednesday press conference.
"You know, the president likes to focus on income inequality, but incomes are lower under his watch. As a matter of fact, I would argue that his policies are driving a lot of the income inequalities that we see today," Boehner said.
"A key part of this is the health care law and the 30-hour rule, which has become a significant barrier to job growth in our country. Republicans are working to repeal this 30-hour requirement under "Obamacare" and allow Americans who want to work to actually get to work. It's a common-sense measure, and it's, frankly, critical in our effort to get Americans back working again," Boehner added.
