2025 Man of the Year: Jeffrey Epstein

Those who achieve Male Greatness are often tragically misunderstood in their lifetimes. Notoriety breeds resentment. They push boundaries and challenge convention in ways that many find unsettling. Such is the curse of Great Men—doomed to suffer judgment here on Earth and perish long before the arc of history can bend to vindicate the wisdom of their prophecy.

Jeffrey Epstein is a Washington Free Beacon Man of the Year. This may not be a popular decision in 2025, but that doesn't make it wrong. We are proud to stand athwart the moralists.

An esteemed New York resident with a keen interest in science, Epstein was the subject of contentious debate in Congress this year. His political donations were scrutinized, but unlike the wack-ass pedophile who shared his name, our Jeffrey Epstein wasn't murdered in a jail cell to protect Bill Clinton. No, he fought back and defended his honor like a man.

Epstein, a Long Island neurosurgeon, did nothing wrong. He had no history of cavorting with known perverts like Slick Willy, Larry Summers, and Noam Chomsky. He gave money to Republican candidates who championed the cause of freedom.

That didn't stop Rep. Jasmine Crockett (D., Texas)—whose propensity for inane self-righteousness is remarkable even by the standards of Congress—from sullying his good name on the floor of the House of Representatives. She went viral after denouncing GOP lawmakers for taking money from Epstein, the hardworking doctor. She neglected to mention that the other Jeffrey Epstein, the diabolical rapist, was (for obvious reasons) an avid supporter of the Democratic Party.

It wasn't clear whether Crockett acted out of shamelessness or sheer stupidity. "My team, what they did is they Googled ... I literally had maybe 20 minutes," she told CNN.

In any event, Dr. Epstein got the last laugh. Looking rich and handsome during an appearance on Fox News, he assailed Crockett’s stupidity and "supercilious attitude."

"Her word salad made Kamala seem like a Rhodes Scholar," he said. "Speaking of Rhodes Scholars, I think there’s a Rhodes Scholar that we all know that was very well connected to Jeffrey Epstein, yet his name doesn’t come up."

Epstein also announced he had donated to Crockett's campaign. For your patriotism, your willingness to take the fight to the enemy, and your understanding that revenge is best served cold, Jeffrey Epstein, Long Island neurosurgeon, you are a Washington Free Beacon Man of the Year.
