USA Today political reporter Susan Page said President Obama's "competency" and "leadership" were legitimately in question Thursday on MSNBC's Andrea Mitchell Reports, after his press conference addressing Obamacare's numerous woes.
"Susan, I've never seen the president this restrained and really down on something involving his own decisions," Mitchell said.
This contrite -- A much different tone than he took even last week when he made a sort-of apology to Chuck Todd," Page said. "After that extraordinary news conference [this] goes beyond the health care law itself. We really are seeing core values of a presidency under attack here. Competency. Leadership. These are the questions that President Obama now is going to have to address and try to rebuild for a second-term agenda, not just on health care, but on immigration and on policy toward Iran and everything else that a president tries to do."
