Kentucky Senate candidate Alison Lundergan Grimes is making fundraising stops at spots famously popular with Washington insiders and D.C. lobbyists on Tuesday.
Grimes’ itinerary for the day reads "like an excerpt from This Town," Mark Leibovich’s depressing insider profile of the political world inside the Beltway, according to America Rising.
Grimes will start at Charlie Palmer Steak, a restaurant advertising that it "moves the political power meetings out of the back room and into private dining spaces."
She will then move on to The Monocle just off Capitol Hill, which the Washington Post joked might connect to the Capitol "by secret tunnel."
She will finish off her insider fundraising tour of D.C. at the home of Heather Podesta, a lobbyist described by the Post as "The Insider’s Insider."
Grimes recently attacked her opponent, Sen. Mitch McConnell (R., Kent.), for being too "busy pandering to DC lobbyists" to come shoot guns with her in their home state.
