Pakistan is preparing to send Saudi Arabia nuclear warheads according to a recent BBC report.
Saudi Arabia has been wary of Iran's nuclear program and has been preparing for a possible nuclear Iran, according to Israel Hayom.
Israel Hayom reported:
According to the report, Saudi Arabia has told the U.S. on numerous occasions that it would acquire its own nuclear weapons if Iran was to cross the nuclear threshold.
The report quoted Gary Samore, a former counter-proliferation adviser to U.S. President Barack Obama, as saying, "I do think that the Saudis believe that they have some understanding with Pakistan that, in extremis, they would have claim to acquire nuclear weapons from Pakistan."
The Saudis also reportedly possess long-range missiles capable of carrying nuclear warheads. They are believed to have covertly purchased dozens of CSS-2 ballistic missiles from China in the late 1980s.
