Even though we’ve already blazed through three weeks of college football, we’re still trying to find our bearings on the national scene. With Alabama’s defense developing a gag reflex and Oregon’s rail gun of an offense needing a quarter to fire up, it's debatable whether either team will be playing for the BCS title.
We’ll have to wait one more week for answers because Week Four is Revenge of Cupcake Week!
Since the American Airlines Conference won’t have a week this intriguing for the rest of the season, I’ll give it some love. Again, tweet me what conference I should break down each week at @_Charette_. Really, do. I get lonely.
For the season, I’m 24-2 and went another perfect 8-0 last week. Straight cash, homey.
Let’s get to work!
Florida Int @ Louisville -43
Teddy Heisman adds another scalp to his wall.
Houston -3 @ Rice
The Cougars can score in any position (ZING!).
Arkansas + 1.5 @ Rutgers
Winning games on the road and Jen Bielema are the two reasons Arkansas hired away Bret Bielema from Wisconsin.
Cincinnati -23.5 @ Miami (OH)
Paul Ryan's alma mater will get shelled again for the third week in a row. Cincy should cover.
Arkansas St -4 @ Memphis
The Red Wolves made it to the Sun Belt Conference title game last season.
SMU @ Texas A&M -28.5
Johnny Football shredded Bama's D last week, so A&M should cover the spread.
Michigan -18 @ Connecticut
The Wolverines went into cardiac arrest last week, almost losing to Akron. This week they should crush UConn, but I can't see their offense hanging nearly 20 on the Huskies.
