MSNBC host Karen Finney hung up on radio host Hugh Hewitt yesterday after becoming agitated after being repeatedly asked whether Alger Hiss was a communist.
The interview opened with Hewitt playing a clip of Finney likening Sen. Ted Cruz's (R., Texas) efforts to defund Obamacare to the methods of 1950s anti-communist crusader Sen. Joe McCarthy (R., Wis.).
Hewitt challenged Finney on the comparison and pointed to several examples of communist spies who actively attempting to infiltrate the U.S. government during the Army-McCarthy hearings.
Finney, after refusing to answer several times whether Alger Hiss was a communist, hung up on the conservative radio host.
