BEASTMODE: Hawley Asks If Hypothetical Vice President's Son Selling Access Is Corrupt

October 14, 2020

Curious about foreign influence after another lawmaker broached it on Wednesday, Sen. Josh Hawley (R., Mo.) asked Supreme Court nominee Amy Coney Barrett whether a hypothetical vice president whose hypothetical adult son worked for a foreign oligarch and sold hypothetical access to that vice president constituted corruption.

He appeared to be asking about Joe Biden's son Hunter, whose work for a Ukrainian gas company and the access it afforded to his father has dogged the elder Biden's presidential campaign.
