Trump Slams Dems, MS-13: 'You Must Go Out and Get the Democrats the Hell Out of Office'

May 30, 2018

President Donald Trump on Tuesday slammed Democrats in Congress for being soft on the violent MS-13 gang, urging his supporters to "go out and get the Democrats the Hell out of office."

Trump was speaking at a rally in Nashville, Tennessee to show his support for Rep. Marsha Blackburn (R., Tenn.), who is running to replace Sen. Bob Corker (R., Tenn.). Corker announced back in February that he was retiring at the end of this year and would not be running for reelection.

"If you want your schools to be safe. If you want your country to be safe, then you must go out and get the Democrats the hell out of office because there's no common sense," Trump said. "We're going to defend our borders and we're going to fight hard on crime."

Trump went on to say that the Republicans would protect the Second Amendment rights of American citizens, adding that they wouldn't have these rights if Democrats take over. He then started talking about the "menace" of the MS-13 gang and how it has impacted communities around the country, highlighting the impact in Long Island, New York.

"This vicious gang has transformed once peaceful, beautiful communities that I know so well. I know them all--into blood-stained killing fields, savagely murdering, raping, and mutilating their victims," Trump said. "And they don't even want to do it with a gun. They talk about gun control. They don't want to do it with a gun. They want to do it with knives. They want to cut people up into little pieces because it's more painful."

"And then I have to listen to Pelosi and these people saying, 'we have to respect them. They're human beings,'" added Trump, referencing House Minority Leader Nancy Pelosi's (D., Calif.) criticism of Trump calling MS-13 members "animals."

The media and Democrats, including Pelosi, fueled misleading reports a couple weeks ago saying that Trump called illegal immigrants "animals." Trump's "animals" comment was actually in response to a comment from Fresno County Sheriff Margaret Mims about MS-13. Pelosi went further by defending the murderous gang, asking whether the president "believe[s] in the spark of divinity, the dignity and worth of every person?"

"In the face of MS-13 and its threat, Washington, Democrats voted against legislation to remove these criminal aliens," Trump said. "They voted against Kate's Law and they voted in favor of sanctuary cities that protect criminals and they voted in favor of catch and release."

"Democrats have opposed every common sense measure necessary to stop this horrendous scourge of crime, to dismantle MS-13, and to stop illegal immigration," Trump added.
