Steve Rattner, an avid Hillary Clinton supporter, said he is "a little troubled" about Clinton’s lack of transparency with her emails.
Late Thursday evening, news broke that the State Department could not find 15 work-related emails from Clinton’s private server. The House Select Committee investigating the events surrounding the terrorist attacks in Benghazi released the emails.
Rattner said he is troubled, but deflected to a statement that Clinton had released saying the emails missing from the State Department cache were fragmented or could not be recovered. Becky Quick said this raises the question of what else is missing.
"I get it. It raises questions," said Rattner. "Remember, she turned over about half of her emails—the other half were deemed personal. And this was a self-policing decision and so the questions will continue."
Rattner said he understood the questions about the missing emails and also added that Clinton probably understood as well. The Clinton campaign has remained largely silent on the issue of her use of personal email and a personal server during her time as secretary of state.
