University President Calls Parts of Hillary's $225K Speaking Contract 'Distasteful'

UNLV Pres: 'There's no doubt that some of the things in the contract I find distasteful'

The president of the University of Nevada-Las Vegas, which will pay Hillary Clinton $225,000 to speak at the UNLV Annual Foundation Dinner, admitted in an interview that he finds some of Clinton's many demands in her contract "distasteful."

Nevada journalist Jon Ralston has called Clinton's contract "obscene" in the past, and exclaimed to UNLV president Don Snyder, "That thing looked like it was for Princess Grace or something like that."

Ralston listed off some of Clinton's requirements: "Pay for all her cell phone charges, get her rooms, presidential suite…"

"There's no doubt that some of the things in the contract I find distasteful," Snyder conceded.

"But that doesn't mean we don't invite a speaker to come in," he added, defending the UNLV Foundation's decision.

UNLV students have also complained about the fee, calling it "a little bit outrageous," and have called on Clinton to return her fee to the university.
