President Donald Trump on Thursday morning retweeted a meme of himself "eclipsing" a photograph of former President Barack Obama with the caption, "The best eclipse ever!"
Trump retweeted self-described "YouTube actor and political junkie" Jerry Travone, a "proud Trump supporter and pushback against liberalism [sic]," according to his Twitter biography.
Travone tweeted a meme of a smiling Trump slowly replacing a black and white picture of Obama, comparing the photo to the solar eclipse that occurred Monday afternoon.

Travone sent out the meme in response to Trump's tweet saying he had requested that Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell (R., Ky.) and Speaker of the House Paul Ryan (R., Wis.) tie the debt ceiling legislation into the Veterans Appeals Improvement and Modernization Act. Trump added in another tweet that McConnell and Ryan did not do what he requested, arguing that caused Democrats to hold up the debt ceiling approval.
"Could have been so easy—now a mess!" Trump wrote.

Congress has until the end of September to raise the debt ceiling, and lawmakers will take up the legislation next month when they return from their August recess.
McConnell said earlier this month "there is zero chance—no chance—we won't raise the debt ceiling." The Trump administration has warned that not raising the ceiling could lead to a fiscal crisis.
