Republican frontrunner Donald Trump tweeted a veiled threat to the Ricketts family, the owners of the Chicago Cubs, for contributing to the anti-Trump Our Principles PAC, suggesting they have secrets and "better be careful."
USA Today reported Marlene Ricketts, wife of T.D. Ameritrade founder J. Joe Ricketts, contributed $3 million to Our Principles PAC in January, accounting for nearly all the money the group raised that month.
Trump, who consistently makes headlines with his strongly-worded statements and tweets, didn't wait long to comment after the story was published Monday morning.
I hear the Rickets family, who own the Chicago Cubs, are secretly spending $'s against me. They better be careful, they have a lot to hide!

Conservative pundit Erick Erickson, writing for The Resurgent, ripped Trump as "just another fascist with an enemies list."
"Donald Trump, the man who called Bill Clinton before running for President and who has given hundreds of thousands of dollars to Democrat causes, is just another Obama waiting to happen," Erickson wrote. "He made that clear today by declaring Joe Ricketts, the owner of the Cubs, to be on his enemies list for funding Republicans against Trump."
Several conservative writers also criticized Trump for the threat.
does @realDonaldTrump already have an enemies list, and is this the man we want in charge of the IRS?https://t.co/WTzlB9KAJ6
