Scarborough Criticizes Kellyanne Conway for Dictating Story to NYT

November 29, 2016

Morning Joe's Joe Scarborough criticized President-elect Donald Trump's former campaign manager Kellyanne Conway for dictating a story to the New York Times on Tuesday.

"Looks like Kellyanne gets somebody from the New York Times to dictate a story from her," Scarborough said.

Scarborough added that her story was dictated into Siri and that the Times used it for a story, which revealed many of the things that sources had previously told him.

MNSBC contributor Elise Jordan said that Politico's story countered the Times saying Conway wasn't in the inner circle anymore

"Well that's accurate actually, so Politico actually had the accurate story. That's what I'm saying. She just dictated into Siri and the New York Times printed it. I'm kind of curious why they did that," Scarborough said.

Jordan then went into detail about the Politico story and how Conway didn't want to be the White House communication director press secretary, but rather stay in New York and run an outside group supporting Trump.

"Trump values her communication  skill and her loyalty and that she is no longer in the inner inner circle," Jordan added.

"No, she's not. In fact, you can ask people that have been interviewed for the top jobs and she will tell you she is the person that is never inside the room when it happens, or where it happens," Scarborough said.

At the end of the segment, Scarborough, along with others on the show, praised Conway for her role in helping Trump during the presidential campaign.

"She was really helpful to the campaign," Mika Brzezinski said.

"No she was great," Scarborough said.

Mike Barnicle added that she was "invaluable."
