Wikileaks released nearly 20,000 emails from the Democratic National Committee on Friday morning, including one email from a senior DNC official who questioned Sen. Bernie Sanders’ (I., Vt.) faith.
The leak shows documents sent from top figures at the DNC from last January to the end of May, including 8,000 file attachments. Wikileaks publicized the release as its "new Hillary Leaks series."

The site does not say who released the emails, but hacker Guccifer 2.0, who recently hacked the DNC’s servers, confirmed that Friday’s leak comes from that breach, the Hill reports.
In one email from the Wikileaks dump, DNC CFO Brad Marshall wrote to DNC Communications Director Luis Miranda and Deputy Communications Director Mark Paustenbach about questioning Bernie Sanders’ faith. With the subject line, "No shit," Marshall suggested finding an individual to question Sanders’ religion in Kentucky or West Virginia assuming he is an atheist.
The DNC is supposed to remain neutral in the party’s presidential primary until a single candidate formally receives and accepts the nomination.
DNC chairwoman Debbie Wasserman Schultz (Fla.) has come under fire during the 2016 campaign for allegedly favoring Hillary Clinton in the primary. Sanders responded to the perceived favoritism by calling for Schultz’s resignation.
