Donald Trump campaign official Anthony Scaramucci is expected to be announced Friday as the new White House communications director.

President Donald Trump is upset with the performance of the communications team currently and will announce Scaramucci for the post, Axios reports. Word of the move came as a surprise to White House Chief of Staff Reince Priebus.

Scaramucci currently works in the Export-Import Bank and used to own a share of SkyBridge Capital until he sold it with hopes of joining the Trump administration.

Scaramucci often makes the rounds on television for the president and is a friend of Fox News host Sean Hannity.

Sean Spicer has managed the role of communications director since the last director, Mike Dubke, resigned the post on June 2.
