The reason President Obama returned home early after the Kass-Wagner nuptials was because none of the local elite golf courses would give him a tee time WNBC in New York reported.
Elite clubs such as Trump National Golf Club, the Winged Foot, and Willow Ridge declined the president’s request because Labor Day weekend is the most in-demand time of the year.
Sources told WNBC that the president's advance team only gave one to two days notice of the request. High-powered members who pay up to $100,000 annually in membership fees, would not accommodate the circus that accompanies a presidential golf outing.
This goes completely against White House Press Secretary Josh Earnest, who said Obama was returning to Washington early from the fundraising/wedding overnighter because he wanted to make up for the time this year he’s already missed leaving his wife and two daughters to hang out with Alonzo Mourning.
It has still not been reported what wedding gift the president got the couple.
