Democratic presidential candidate Hillary Clinton's sheer amount of contempt for the press has frankly been impressive during her campaign.
She has a "Nixonian" disgust for the media, said one MSNBC guest Tuesday, and her press conferences are as rare as a "lunar eclipse," said Bloomberg's John Heilemann.
Her camp told Fox News correspondent Ed Henry that he didn't get to ask a question of her Monday because he shouted one at her in Iowa and others needed to get a chance. That question, asked May 19, was whether she would finally start ... answering the media's questions.
Her campaign denied access to a pool reporter from the Daily Mail in New Hampshire Monday, and they told him to use the woods when he had to go to the bathroom.
One of Clinton's strategists, Joel Benenson, could only stare at Wolf Blitzer when the latter invited the former secretary of state on CNN any time to give an interview.
As MSNBC host Joe Scarborough put it, Clinton has been in "bubble wrap for three months."
These are the rules, after all.
