Donald Trump Jr. and Paul Manafort will be able to testify publicly in front of the Senate Judiciary Committee, Sen. Dianne Feinstein (D., Calif.) told reporters Tuesday.
Feinstein said Special Counsel Robert Mueller gave the Judiciary Committee the go-ahead to interview the two men in a public session. Mueller is leading the probe into Russian interference in the 2016 election and whether members of President Donald Trump's campaign colluded with those efforts.
CNN reporter Manu Raju wrote that Senate Intelligence Committee chairman Richard Burr (R., N.C.) wanted to hear from all the attendees at last year's meeting between Trump Jr., Manafort, a Russian lawyer, and others that has caused controversy for the White House.
