In a new WMUR/CNN poll Democrat presidential candidate Hillary Clinton has fallen eight points to challenger Senator Bernie Sanders (I., Vt.). Clinton now sits at 43 percent to Sanders' 35 percent. Just months ago, Clinton held a 21-percentage-point lead over Sanders.
On CNN’s Inside Politics, host John King wanted to know what happened. King said there is no doubt that Democrats like Clinton, but that they do not love her. The Atlantic’s Molly Ball said Democrats' heads might be with Clinton but their hearts are not.
Ball said Sanders is articulating how he feels about the rich and big corporations, and that Clinton is not taking on the same issues. Ball added that Clinton is discussing some populist issues compared to Sanders.
"There is a feeling on behalf of the Democrat base that she is a little too cozy with power," said Ball.
