Hillary Clinton coughed at the end of a speech Friday in Washington, D.C. as she recovers a week after being diagnosed with pneumonia.
As Clinton finished her speech at the 39th annual Black Women’s Agenda Symposium, she thanked the crowd and began to wave. Before the microphone cut off, however, Clinton could be heard coughing twice. She did not hold her hand over her mouth.
Clinton was diagnosed with pneumonia last Friday and two days later attended a 9/11 memorial event in New York City. As Clinton left the ceremony, she began to pass out. Her campaign did not brief the press on her condition for a time, leading to speculation about her health, before saying hours later that she had been sick with pneumonia.
Questions have been raised about the health of both Clinton and Donald Trump. Clinton has received scrutiny over her health due to past incidents, including a brain clot near the end of her time as secretary of state.
